
SLE Postgraduate Program "International Cooperation for Sustainable Development"
In today’s world of international cooperation, strong analytical, methodological and communication skills are crucial in addition to technical expertise. The SLE degree program aims to help prepare you for the challenges of the profession: Professional expertise in development policy: Make well-founded contributions and actively contribute your knowledge to advisory processes. Holistic thinking and action: Learn to understand complex interrelationships and to design, manage and evaluate projects at different levels. Effective cooperation and partnership: Move confidently within cooperation structures and actively shape them in a spirit of partnership. Critical self-reflection and intercultural sensitivity: Critically reflect on your skills and your role in the professional field and act sensitively in different social contexts. What you need
A completed university or university of applied sciences degree (Master’s, Diplom, state examination, doctorate) with at least good grades that qualifies for a doctorate at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. The Master’s degree must be available by the start of the SLE program (beginning of January) and is a prerequisite for enrollment at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Internships, work and study placements in one or more countries Above-average interest in development policy and high motivation for the additional training. Fluency in English. Further good knowledge is an advantage, especially of the following languages: Arabic, Chinese, German, French, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish. Health suitability for stays in countries of the Global South with possibly limited health care and higher health risks. Personal suitability for the SLE postgraduate program. Please note: The scholarship is only open to people who are citizens of an EU member state or a country that is classified as a transition or developing country according to the DAC list of ODA recipients.
