Mo Ibrahim Foundation Scholarship at SOAS
Applications are now open for the 2026/27 Mo Ibrahim Foundation Scholarship at SOAS University of London, supporting future leaders committed to Africa’s development. Funded by the Foundation, the scholarship will provide two awards for students undertaking a full-time, one-year taught master’s degree beginning in the 2026/27 academic year. Each award has a total value of £45,479, covering tuition fees and providing a maintenance stipend. Preference will be given to applicants ordinarily resident in Africa and to candidates demonstrating a strong interest in governance and development issues on the continent. Eligible applicants must be overseas fee-status students, hold a minimum equivalent of a UK 2:1 bachelor’s degree, and have secured an unconditional offer from SOAS before the scholarship selection process. The application deadline is 17 June 2026 at 12 noon (UK time). Successful candidates are expected to be notified from mid-July 2026.
